General description

Normal butyl acetate (also known as n-butyl acetate, butyl acetate, butyl ethanoate) is a miscible, flammable, clear, colourless ester with a molecular formula of C6H12O2. The phisical state of this compound is liquid at room temperature. It is found in various fruitsred apples, azelaic acid in particular, and it employs characteristic flavours  with a sweet banana smell. This organic compound is versatile in use and can be usede for flavouring, Leather industry, lacquer production, polishes, pharmaceutical inks, adhesives, Paints, coatings, cleaners, and occasionally as a high-boiling solvent.
